Experience:

Professor Lam is a member of the election committee of the 13th National People's Congress of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Professor Lam served as a member of the Chaozhou CPPCC from 2004 to 2017. Professor Lam has twice been elected as a member of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Election Committee - the accounting sector (2006 and 2012). From March 2010 to February 2014, he served as vice president (International Affairs and administrative education) and professor of accounting of Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Dean of Business School of Hong Kong Polytechnic University from 2002 to 2010, and Dean of Business Management Institute of Hong Kong Polytechnic University from 2003 to 2011.

In September 2018, Professor Lam was appointed Vice President of the Chinese Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales, and was recommended by the Association for election as an honorary member of the Shenzhen Institute of certified public accountants. In March 2018, Professor Lam was invited to join the global think tank as a senior overseas researcher. The think tank is the largest social think tank type research institution in China. It is committed to "making suggestions for China from a global perspective and making suggestions for the world with Chinese wisdom", so as to promote China to play a more important role in globalization. On August 14, 2017, Professor Judy Lam was appointed as the independent non-executive director, chairman of the audit committee and member of the Investment Committee of Sino Ocean Group (listed on the main board of the stock exchange of Hong Kong). Professor Lam is an independent non- executive director of CLP Holdings Limited (2005-2014). From 2005 to 2011, Professor Lam served as the independent non-executive director of China Vanke Enterprise Co., Ltd. and served as the consultant of the company from 2011 to 2013.

She is a Canadian chartered accountant and became the first person to receive a doctorate in accounting in Hong Kong in 1994.
